I haven't been here for quite some time, I apologize for that. At the moment I have no living room or kitchen, we had hardwood floors and tile installed and now we are waiting for our kitchen to be remodeled. I LOVE to cook, I almost went to the Cooking and Hospitality Institute in Chicago (better known as CHIC which had just become affiliated with Le Cordon Bleu at the time) to become a Chef. I went there and interviewed and was accepted but alas at the time I was unemployed and did not have the 70 thousand dollars I needed to attend the school. But I still love to cook and I actually do all the cooking at home. Finally I will have a kitchen that will be enjoyable to cook in. Just the range top itself is a huge upgrade! The average home stove puts out on average 7000 BTU's, my new range top puts out 64,000 BTU's a huge difference. I seriously need some time off... but I'm saving my vacation days so I can go on vacation to a family reunion in Pennsylvania in September, every year I try to make it and every year I fail because I've used up my vacation time for FMLA. If I want to make it to the family reunion that means going to work with a migraine :-( At least the mandatory 16.25 hours of overtime every other day has stopped because of Covid-19, but once this is over we are going to get hammered - not looking forward to that!! I haven't taken my camera out for any serious photography in such a long time. With my career as a Corrections Officer and the way I see people treating each other it's been really hard for me to find beauty in the world anymore. The only thing I find comfort in is watching animals, I even feed stray cats and other wild animals around my house (much to the dismay of my neighbors). Yesterday, while my Wife was at a Doctor appointment I waited in the car for her, and I saw a guy walking with a long retractable leash extended all the way out.
